"Hello,
I am organizing a 5K on June 1, 2013 at Pearson Park in New Castle. To help promote the event, I am working with the Tourist Promotion Agency in Lawrence County on a photo opportunity. The photo will be with their "mascot" Flat Larry. He is a cardboard cutout that travels to various events. I would like to take a picture of him with the 5K shirt on along with some runners. Seeing as how the Big Dawgs seem to be well known in the area, would we be able to arrange some of your members for a photo?

Five year Age Groups to 75 and over. $15.00 if paid by May 17th. Race starts and ends at Pearson Park.

Dan's Half Century 5K Run/Walk
While Dan Reed patiently waits for his AARP application to be processed, we thought what better excuse to help celebrate this "milestone" than to have a 5K Run/Walk. Although this event will help celebrate the passage of time, we'll also be able to help some local charities along the way. Your $10 entry fee will help fund scholarships for local Cross Country runners as well as the City Rescue Mission (sorry, no t-shirts). We will provide professional timing through Miles of Smiles as we take you through a scenic tour of Cascade Park (and even provide some birthday cake at the end of the race)

2nd Annual Big Dawgs 5K Race in Ewing Park, July 27, 2013
All runners are welcome. You don't have to be a Big Dawg Member to enjoy the day, but if you are a Big Dawg, feel free to feel obligated to come out for our annual Race and Picnic. We had a good turnout last year, but we need more. We need more!
Remember the date of July 27th. And also recall the great Picnic we had following the race. No place left on earth where you can get a Picnic like this for 10 bucks.
