February 28, 1924
Lou Lodovico began life 89 years ago, little knowing that he would become one of the region's most admired runners. A talented and speedy runner, who has race records that may never be broken, is a motivating force for all of us...and he's still out there doing training runs and races. After climbing the 1.8 miles to the top of Mudlick Hill he doesn't stop to catch his breath like the rest of us...he turns around and keeps on going. He's a testimony to the idea that running is good for you no matter how old you are.
Happy Birthday Lou!

Stush Sadowski
Below is the article about Stush that appeared in the January 27, 2013 edition of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
While Stush is not a Big Dawg, it doesn't mean we don't have great respect for probably the most recognizable runner in the region.

What to do with all those running shirts?
Turn them into a quilt or two, of course. Go from a useless stack of shirts that take up way too much room to store...to a marvelous quilt that will quietly display them and keep you warm after those cold winter runs. Great idea for a surprise gift. If you have 30, 40 shirts or more, you have enough to make them useful. Big Dawg, Karen Swartz, can do that for you. What to do with all those medals?
