The Big Dawgs celebrated this last Winter run by making their way 450' uphill on the 1.8 mile stretch of Mudick Hollow Road. All runners survived and returned with runners joy in their hearts to have a warm toast for a run well done.

A very cold & windy day, but ten hearty souls showed up for this run around Beaver and up Two Mile Hill. Unfortunately, as you can see in the pictures below, only six returned, the other four still stuck in a snow bank some where along the road of Two Mile Hill.
Saturday Beaver run, January 28, 2012
Big Dawgs Dave White, Eugene McClain, Harry Green, Lou Lodovico, Bob Hardman (all the way from Calcutta, OH) and the picture taker, John Antinossi. Two others...Lou Alaksin and Dave Chinchilla weren't happy with just running up Mudick Hollow Road (450 feet or so of continuous uphill in 1.8 miles) they continued on to Gypsy Glen Road (for some reason we call it Two Mile Hill) for another grueling uphill. They must have gotten in 14 or 15 miles. GREAT training run for the Pittsburgh Marathon!
Lou Lodovico Runs the Hills of Big Beaver Borough, January 24, 2012
Here's our 87 year old (soon to be 88 next month) taking on the hills in Big Beaver Borough. That's where we get our name, “Big Beaver Big Dawgs”.
Thanks to John Antinossi for the pictures. (Were you really that far behind him?).

Saturday Run in Beaver, January 21, 2012.
These four...Sherree May, Lou Lodovico, Mike Johnson and John Antinossi earned their bragging rights this morning and proudly display the Big Dawgs motto..."If you can't run with the Big Dawgs, stay on the porch"
One Hundred Sixty Seven of us did just that this morning.
